Looks nice and will complement this huge complex nicely! Here's a high-resolution rendering of the fourth tower:

Did they put balconies on the mechanical penthouse. Nice touch either way

This The first mixed-use tower designed by KPF in Canada. is not well fact checked.

I'm guessing the "western"* is silent (?) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's marketing folks.
What you expect?

(*before Canada).

I love the fact that the overhead rendering in that brochure includes not just the Skytrain station's new roof, but also the (proposed?) pedestrian bridge from the Station Square end as well.

Just a small silly detail I noticed.

As you were.

"mixed-use" in Vancouver almost always means "condo", which would be true. They already did the MNP tower in Vancouver, and the Ritz Carlton and RBC tower in Toronto. 100 Adelaide u/c.

That Tower #5 looks really hot, in video format.

The design makes a lot more sense and looks really high-end (those KPF fees were money well spent.)

The depiction appears to show the tower with low iron clear glass, in contrast to the other towers which are accurately depicted with their nauseating green tint. It would make a world of difference if this tower was actually to be clad in non tinted glass.

Noticed a little slip in the rendering: the people in the video are giants! Assuming 9' ceilings, they are each at least 11' tall

I noticed that as well.

It's pretty funny especially when you see them in context of the floors and storeys just beneath them and they're essentially the same height as the floor-to-ceiling height, or even taller.

Some CADmonkey intern in the renderfarm in China must not have had his usual morning Cup o' Joe*.

(* and yes, I know Tea is the stimulant beverage of choice in China and not coffee).

I still remember not long ago (and for many many years) Metrotower's 1 and 2 were the tallest buildings around and you could see them from the Gulf Islands. In this rendering you can barely notice them, their starting to get buried. Klazu should take his camera up to the Gulf Islands on one of the crisp clear winter days and snap some pictures of the Metrotown skyline.

The podium looks good.
Thanks.

In that screenshot, the towers to the left of the 5th tower don't seem to be accurate.

That makes no sense. Parade at Cityplace (think there's a couple other too) has it covered anyways.
