This is maybe the MOST interesting thread I have ever seen... I found myself studying every single picture. Berkeley and Oakland both are soo fascinating. Wonderful job my man!

A Bay Area thread without San Francisco? Wow, the world is evolving. Thank God.

EDIT: Oh yeah, nice pictures.

Great shots. I love all the Victorians in the shadow of downtown oakland.

Is this neighborhood near Emeryville.

I have a friend that has an office in that neighborhood and it looks familiar. The area around Lake Merritt is a jewel.

Nice to see some 'gems' being added to the crown. Lake Merritt is a treasure.

I loooooove me some Nickel Dime.

Berkeley/Oakland were my entry to the Bay Area, and I am still enamored with them every time I take Bart across the water.

Oakland

Thanks for getting some great shots of Oakland. Oakland is definitely an underrated gem. I live in Oakland and have always thought that Oakland would get more respect in another part of the country (not next to SF and the SF media).

I'm tempted to take some pics of my neighborhood now.

Best 510 post ever. The Berkeley/Oakland complex has so much to offer. Grand Lake Ave, College Ave and Piedmont Ave, all in Oakland, are my favorite places in all of the Bay Area. Sorry, SF.
