Yeah missed this one last time around. I'm somewhat impressed with Stockton. And lets hope to god that the razing thing doesn't occur.

Oh and hell yeah there are palm trees inland. The central valley's climate is very mild. Really only gets "cold" for 3 months or so. Winter is short and spring comes early.

Thanks for the pics.

The last picture thread of Stockton was certainly nowhere near this flattering. Nice work!

I'd also like to point out that Modesto and Stockton are each home to one of the greatest indie rock bands of the 1990's- Grandaddy and Pavement, respectively.

I was wondering that myself, thanks for the link. I just drove by on the freeway a few weeks back and it looked almost finished. I will have to check it out the next time I am by there to see. It's a great location and would give pretty nice views of downtown.

Great job and Stockton's waterfront looks better every year..

Too bad their neighbors to the north can't follow their example.

Stockton's waterfront looks impressive, and Modesto doesn't look half bad. Great stuff!

Superb! These are other settlements that I was curious about. My former ignorance was telling me that these were nothing but bedroom communities, composed of single family detached homes. It's much more urban that I had previously imagined, although smaller tier, it also contains some architectural classics.
