Nice update Solar! Really starting to get the vibe that the West Loop might become recession-proof (knocks on wood nervously)

I'm happy how Gr333n turned out too. For a minute, I was worried.

The West Loop is jaw dropping at the moment even without the several DOZEN projects waiting to get off the ground.

Someone is going to kill me for saying this, but I love 801-811 Fulton. I would happily take one of these every few blocks with slightly different brick colors and individualized detailing.

I agree completely. Looks good, human scaled and is pleasant to walk by.

Not sure I agree about Gr333n though

Here's a hot take: Thomson Center is the most vaginal building ever constructed. The atrium is like a womb and the pastel blue and pink clearly references colors associated with babies. It also faces directly the masculine phallic Daley Center, home of the court system in charge of doling out justice while itself housing nurturing state services. It's clearly meant to be a maternal building.

Change my mind.

So is it misogynistic that a bunch of men are trying to tear her down?

^My god

As for Container Corp, never in a million years would I have thought there was anything sexual being broadcasted in its' design. The only thing I can think of when looking at it is Adventures in Babysitting, and by extenstion Elizabeth Shue.

I couldn't agree more. A surge of this style of architecture and implementation would be fantastic. It satisfies pretty much all areas of the urban architectural spectrum.

Explains why it is cold and heartless on the inside too......
