I didn't take the picture, but I'll answer anyway. :-)

There's a pedestrian bridge that crosses 3rd Avenue just North of Commerce St. He was looking Southeast down 3rd Ave.

Oh yeah, I remember now. The bridge linking the two parking garages. As you can tell it's been a minute since I have been to Nashville, none the less downtown. Thanks for replying.

If I counted correctly, they're now up to the 16th floor. Also, if counted correctly, they have placed the window framing up to the 12th floor. As of today, they are officially now putting glass on the building, a small section on the north facade at about the 8th floor or so. This is rising quite fast and looks really good next to the symphony hall. We should see a step back in a few more floors.

I don't think the step-back is going to be very noticeable. Considering the tower only thins by 15 feet on any side by the time it reaches full height. There is also a full floor of glass on 8 on the east side of the tower.

This tower is really coming along now. Glass has been installed up to about the 12th floor or so, and the tower is about to the 20th floor or so. The south tower crane has been raised to where the boom is off camera. The north crane should follow suit soon, probably this weekend or next week. I can't get a picture to get on here correctly, so just see the progress via the tower cam.

I thought I would post another web cam update. Lots of glass already up, cranes are high in the sky, and only 7 more floors to go!

I am not sure who specifically is doing the concrete, but the general is Brasfield & Gorrie.

FYI, they bumped the webcam upwards and we can now watch the crown get underway. Columns are beginning to lean inwards, the cranes should be jacked up one more time in a few weeks.

It appears the last floor is going to be poured next week, with top out probably by early Febraury.

Crazy how it went from a giant, block-sized hole, to 29 floors of beauty.

I am happy to see all of those projects downtown. Nashville is a classy city.

Here's a fairly recent photo with the Grand Ole Opry House in the foreground.
