That's it thanks Koops, your render looks far nicer then the actual renders. It looks like and clunky and cheap. A shame really if you think the same architects brought us the 100 Davenport back in 2015. I wonder if that one will ever see the light of day? You can still only register on their website.

I fully oppose this tower, but it's likely going forward anyways. Just keep that strip of retail buildings as is....a tower will look ridiculous there, next to them, especially with such a boorish podium.

There are no shops there, only an art gallery, across the road an ugly Nurses College and further north on the street a 5 storey seniors home that turns it's back onto Davenport. It was the home of the Florian presentation gallery who I believe is the same developer.

It's too bad though that this condo wasn't built up to Davenport, it has a nice scale and a Yorkville feel to it. https://www.google.com/maps/@43.6735...7i16384!8i8192

I'm talking about the King street project. The Davenport one looks fine, but I'm less than optimistic about how realistic it is to it's reality.

So I added National bank tower and the Victoria on the park which both towers are slated to be completed by 2022-2023

Both towers expected to be 200m +

The solitary 150-ft tree on the rail deck is a nice touch. I sure hope 160 Front and Union Centre will look better in reality than they do in renders, because they sure are unsightly blobs of grey glass.

LOL @ the tree! It's not solitary, there is another one on the other side, hidden behind Telus.

Seriously though, 160 Front is supposed to have a jagged, saw-toothed exterior, it should look pretty sharp, but i think Union Centre really will be a grey-green blob...

Yeah, it's a design aesthetic I just don't like on skyscrapers, but I hope dearly it will look better when built, because it's in a prominent spot. It wouldn't be so ugly if it weren't so corpulent from the north and south.
