This building needs to be left intact. An upgrade to the added 6th floor is all it needs. I hate that faux copper roof look with the green siding.

Going to be one of the most dominating towers compared to the rest of the skyline in North America. Similar vibe as the Devon Tower in OKC.

My feelings as well and this just confirms it. The skyline is completely out of balance. Manulife has been relegated to background filler.

Is the One going to be that higher than One Bloor? I thought it was only 20m higher.

It's about 49 metres taller. 306 metres compared to 257.

There are a few proposals a little more South which will balance this out.

There is also tower B which will fill in a bit. Emerald should add to this as well.

I got up JW a few weeks back. Everything looks small.

I like how this cluster acts as a counterbalance to the downtown core.

The skyline was too short, a shakeup was needed.

Agree although we may end up without any discernible cluster in the downtown. We'll likely end up with one giant swath of highrises from the lake to Davenport. Perhaps by 2030 we'll be at that point.

Absolutely....There will be quite a bit of balance to the south of Ice in the next 3 to 5 years.

And lets not forget Ice district x2 to the North.

Downtown Edmonton is going to look beastly for a city of 1.4 mil.

Indeed although IMO Calgary still and will has a bigger skyline as they have a more concentrated cluster of 15+ 500ft towers. Makes it look extremely impressive for their size. Edmonton was pretty behind and is now playing catch up. With Stantec and the plans for the future, I think it will come together nicely and bring them into the game with the rest of Canada (hold Toronto, as TO is heading into a total new territory).
