I tend to agree. Sometimes even a shorter time frame. Look at 99 Church. Looks as it was always there and integrated beautifully. I expect the same for 220 CPS and 520 Park.
With Vanderbilt, its design seems quasi ESB like. I think that was somewhat the motivation for the design (the ESB). Its bulk, its crown, and the setbacks at the top.
With Verre, it will be an instant classic. More So than One57 which IMO, is not spectacular although it demands respect, because it is the godfather of the 57th street boom.
