Turning Hell into a little piece of heaven?

We're currently laying down a stone patio - and were at the last stage now (lay brick and pour sand)

I thought I'd show this off a little, it's my first project of this size - the backyard after the snow melted in the spring, looked like hell.

I will show the final pics when it's done - but hey - here we go!

Pretty proud to almost be done!

great job- looking forward to seeing the finished product. After years of living in urban environments where outdoor space is precious, few things piss me off like seeing a neglected yard or garden. Seems so wasteful.

I did something similar in Arizona (but being lazy, I didn't do it myself) so, to inspire you, here's a pic:

aaand I worked 10 hours today, 10 yesterday - finished it off. Carried each brick, by hand, up hill (no joke)

Flowerbed work isn't up to me I will leave that for next spring, and for my significant other who has a fair sized green thumb when compared to me...

Enjoy!
