Jameson House? In general I agree, doesn't mean they're ugly though. Just classic and safe.

at least the drop off area is on the laneway and not the main road 104th like some buildings *cough* *Citypoint* *cough*
I posted photos of that one a while back. I'm kinda surprised they didnt increase the size of the retail base like they are with the other towers

The more street-level retail we get, the better off the whole area will be. Man, it's going to make the D'Corize and it's lovely red brick layout all the more stand-out given it's lack of retail.
I don't disagree, I just think people put too much hype around retail and commercial space a the base of towers. Over 90% of downtown Vancouver buildings have no retail or commercial at the bottom, so people expecting every single building in Surrey to have such are just a tad delusional imo.

I do think that this specific tower, it would be nice to see it match the scale of City Hall and the other Bosa proposal across the street, but at least some is a bonus. Also I believe this is first reading so there is still time for council to do what they did with the other Bosa proposal, and request more size and space.

Meh. I still think most Bosa towers just look like giant walls of blue glass. They all basically look the same. As the other poster under you said, safe.

Still I am the furthest person from complaining, I want a lot more towers in Surrey Central so a wave of development can take hold so I'm all for this regardless.

Which would be good, since Bosa's already applied to cut back on the indoor and outdoor amenity space for this particular development...

Many of the younger Bosa towers have been designed by Rafii (as is this one) - that's why they look similar.

(Wrong thread and the linked-to Reddit AMA event with the Mayor or New Westminster turned out to be a rather hilarious scam)
