Great. How are all those canopies on the beach used?

You can pay for a day, a week, a month or all the summer. They are expensive. The most important hotels have canopies and they give you one when you take a room. They are confortable, they have a lot of space.

Thanks, Coldayman , for your words.

Very cool, I'd never even heard of this place before. Wikipedia says that summer highs are around 22C, which seems kinda cold for a beach city. What's the water like?

Hi, Shawn!

MdP is the Meca of the local turism for us. Every argentine takes Mdp in his heart! Jajaja! It's truth!! Mdp recieves 3 million people every summer.

The temperature of the water is not warm, definitely. But you can enjoy it without problems. In summer can rise up tu 25 C'. I've took this information from here:
http://www.ceado.gob.ar/Ef/Mdp.asp
The weather is special... you have days of a terrible hot, and days that make you put a sweater on, specially at night...
I was there last weekend, and the temperature was 30 C.

Thanks for your comments!

Great looking city. I've never heard of it before. Thanks for posting! I like the mix of old European-style Tudour buildings and modern highrises, with a beach setting and nice density for a very walkable city
