It's not a ghost town at all.

There were probably close to 80,000 people in the downtown district while these photos were taken. Couple that with a major sporting event or concert and those numbers easily balloon to 100,000 plus on a somewhat regular basis.

Sadly, during the day they are all in the impressive buildings or in the massive tunnel system under the streets (complete with retail, dinning, etc.) ....but that's an urban planning conversation for another day.
