The viaduct and BC Place as Anyplace USA, circa 2048 in TV’s new show, Almost Human.
The Georgia Viaduct has monorail lines on both sides of the roadway!

I really enjoyed Almost Human. Was sad to see it cancelled so soon, and quickly.

I live by pacific central station and I receive filming notices on my apartment buildings doorways all the time.

A lot of films being made seem to be super hero TV shows.

Last notice was for an upcoming show called IZombie.

pretty sure that just about every city filmed on tv or movie, has used Vancouver as another american city (i.e. Seattle, NYC, etc).

Vancouver's never used as Vancouver in a movie/tv.

I can understand if the movie is trying to portray NY or some other important city that would make it integral to the storyline, but why replace Vancouver with Seattle? Would it really make any difference to the storyline or the box office? The Seth Rogen movie 50/50 for example.

when is Vancouver not Vancouver

I happened to catch the pilot for "The Good Wife" a few years ago, and was always amused to see Vancouver imitating Chicago for the exterior shots.
Now its even more amusing to see how they try to make New York imitate Chicago every week.

Wow, just wow. There is so much movie and tv production shooting in town right now! Our cheap dollar must be drawing hordes of production into Vancouver as in the last 7 days I have seen production crews at Vancouver Art Gallery, along Howe Street (two locations), West Hastings Street, under the Burrard Bridge, in Yaletown, at Edgewater Casino and in Olympic Village. This is so great to see!

The word is that the reason the viaduct was closed last week was because Deadpool is in town.
