And a few from my little excursion around the bay yesterday to see the fall colours on the Bonavista Peninsula. Unfortunately, I left it too long and they were mostly gone.

Some pictures from the Saturday opening of the new Argyle Street in Halifax, in which it was turned into a shared streetscape

Thanks for bumping our I would have missed it. That festival looks like fun. I wonder how long they've been doing that?

they've been doing it for 25 years. Its put on by the public dreams society which has been around since 1986 apparently, but that group ended and both events were taken over by another group called the dusty flowerpot cabaret in 2013.

They also do an event in the summer called luminaries. people make or bring paper lanterns and they walk around in a parade and there are bands etc.

It is held at trout lake in east van but it falls on the same day as the fireworks in english bay, its sort of an alternative event for people who don't want anything to do with the fireworks. They tried doing it at canada place one year and i believe they did it in gastown as well before, but people seem to prefer the east van location.

I was in Vancouver in the summer and had to take some pictures of the local palm trees in and around Vancouver. Finally getting around to posting them

Enjoy!

Last week a thick fog blanketed over Metro Vancouver for several days. It's a normal phenomenon in winter and this is how it looked like - enjoy!

Break of dawn in Fogcouver.

Fog covers everything but the tallest.

It's lonely above the clouds.

Burnaby in a sea of fog.

Low lying fog takes the metropolitan area in the night.

Bleaks of light through the blanket.

Lights at Lafarge in Coquitlam is a fun free-of-charge Christmas light display along the shore of Lafarge Lake.

The event is easy to reach with the new Evergreen Extension.
