Tomokazu on Broadway is pretty good if you want AYCE sushi for lunch. I've never had any real problems with it when I went there for lunch last summer and last year.

MoMo Sushi had great sushi when I was there last spring, and I'd eat there again. It's in the Gastown area on the north side of Water Street by the Guu izakaya (Japanese-style bar-restaurant).

Oh yeah, I've got a flight booked to Vancouver this afternoon.

New addition!

Best Spicy Tuna Roll ever: Sushi Bay Cafe on Seymour between Georgia and Dunsmuir, pretty much under that "bridge overpass" to the bay and next to the Le Chateau.

Spectacular tasty perfectly spicy tuna, avocado, and little tiny pieces of tempura inside to make the whole thing cruncy. Could not get enough.

My folks love going to Daimasu on Granville Ave. in Richmond. I was there on Sunday--tasty food and nice atmosphere. I'm not a sushi expert so I'll be interested to see if others concur.

I'm afraid to try sushi joints without a recommendation. Some of them look pretty sketchy.

I've always liked Shiro, on Cambie and around 13th? Excellent prices, japanese-run and tasty.

Sushi-Go is good value for money but a little out of the way.

Tojos hands down the best sushi. Sit up at the bar to get the chef to create a meal for you

Been there many a times and can attest to that. Great service as well with waterfront views of the river.
