A clean downtown. A shame I was so close to Casper (give or take several hundred miles) but didn't stop in!

The "massive" First Interstate Bank tower:

In that little yellow building just off to the left of that First Interstate Tower, my uncle owned a little book store chain there, on the 1st floor for many years. Casper indeed is a nice little city.

You ALWAYS pay for parking, even in Wyoming. It's just that sometimes the cost is built into other things.

I wonder if opposition to paying for parking extends to opposition to obamacare. Dammit, parking should be free, and healthcare costs borne by the patient!

I seriously doubt you'd want to do that.

That said, Wyoming pretty much sucks. Wyoming, the fucking wind state.

Maybe I'll get some photos next time I'm up in Cheyenne, Laramie, Rawlins, Jackson...

Or maybe Nevada - Winnemucca, Battle Mountain, Elko, etc.

BTW, the First Interstate Bank seems clearly taller than the Wells Fargo spire.
Here is a photo from wikipedia showing the difference in height between the two structures:

Really nice. I've never seen Cheyenne before. So often, Wells Fargo has interesting buildings. Thanks!

Really appreciate the pictures. I lived in Casper from 1982-1989 and it looks as if little changed. According to the 2010 census the population is 55,316 (I think the OP gave the county population). When I lived there the population was closer to 47,000. Loved Wyoming and Casper. I even had lunch with Dick Cheney.

Looks like a peaceful city for 75,000 residence. I wonder how it looks like at 10:00PM.

I got a great laugh from that too. This is a funny thread. We only need a comment from the famed forumer, Phil McKrackin, to round things out!
