Please just shoot the oilers franchise Into the sun. The fans have suffered enough.

To paraphrase an early Alberta premier, “If you have not suffered enough, it is your God-given right to suffer more. Or you can start cheering for the Calgary Flames”.

I believe they are playing for the Ottawa Senators trying desperately to help out those fans by ensuring Ottawa doesn't get the first pick in the draft which would go to Colorado.

Kucherov is doing what we saw of him at the beginning of last season. If it weren't for Kane's insane last two months (41 points in his last 20 games) the scoring race would be done. Mcdavid is now down 16 points with 3 games in hand.

Chicago is ahead of Vancouver on ROW's.

As long as Edler and Tanev are out of the line up (as well as the 4 other regulars), the Canucks will continue to drop like stones in the overall standings. Theres not a lot of seperation between the bottom 15 teams so it wont take much to get deep into the Hughes/Kakko sweepstakes.

I wonder if this will be the last year Vancouver finishes close to the bottom for a while, lots of talent on that team, and a productive summer could make them a playoff bubble team.

^Good point on the ROW, I just sorted by points then games without paying any attention to ROW at this point.

Chicago and Carolina have legitimate chances to make the playoffs. Everyone else is lousy, but who is truly lousy?

I'd say it's between: Ottawa, Los Angeles, Edmonton, Detroit, New Jersey, Anaheim

I'd agree with this. OTT, LA, DET, NJ, EDM, and ANA have been all kinds of awful this season. Looking at remaining schedules...

OTT plays TB, TOR, and NYI twice each along with a WSH.

OTT and EDM play each other twice (OTT still has to play away to CGY & EDM)

LA and ANA play each other three times.

DET plays PIT twice to end the year.

EDM gets both OTT and TOR twice.

NJ still has to do their Western Canada swing.

It seems like OTT and NJ have the least fun remaining schedules. EDM can make something work if they string together a few good games against ARI (2x), OTT (2x), BUF, CBJ (2x), and ANA (2x).

Sounds like Ottawa is about to lose Duchene too. while the pick they traded for him gets better and better.

I'd say Anaheim was the worst. If you consider what Gibson did for them in the first half of the season, Anaheim could very well be a 35 point team right now. This is a team that's only scored 133 goals this season.

OTT seems to play better against the better teams in the league. They just swept a home and home with WPG. They've also beaten SJ, NSH and TB already this year.

Not sure if this is due to the better teams taking the Sens lightly, but they are winning a disproportionate amount of games against the top teams.

Huge test for the Flames tonight. If they play as sloppy as they did against Arizona on Sunday this will be an ass-kicking of epic proportions.

Flames completely dominated the Islanders last night, that one wasn't even close!
