Late update...

^I think they were, yes...

So, this update is coming a bit late. I just wasn't much in the mood to post them until now...

I also forgot to post my August 13 update in here. Oh well. See the current version of the Calgary Construction thread for that...

Eigth Avenue Place has done a nice upgrade to its website.

http://www.eighthavenueplace.com/index.php

Tons of pics and a nice video.

For the lazies, I've got the images here, plus some screen captures from the video. Definitely TONS of angles and aspects of the project we've never seen before.

This project has grown on me quite a bit. I think it could turn out fantastic. I certainly like the ground level stuff and the sort of silverish skin could be very striking.

Hell of a view

Inserted into the skyline. A pretty substantial impact

wow, the ground level actually looks pretty good, especially the restaurant area. The glazing looks to have a bit of transperancy to it, maybe similar to what we've seen on Bankers Court. Hopefully they find some tenants soon. My only major beef with this project is that it is twins.

I had never seen those images posted by Wooster. VERY interesting. Almost enough to make me change my mind. She's got a lot more potential than I initially gave credit for. Could be interesting...

My sources are telling me that only one of the towers will be built. I also hate rumor, but they are fairly reputable people. It would be interesting to see how they deal with the winter garden concept, if in fact this were the case.
I am really pleasantly surprised by the pedestrian level images. They really describe the space well.

I thought the was the case to begin with? The taller tower was only suppose to be built.
