Red face TORONTO | 150 Eglinton Ave East | 167 M / 548 FT | 47 FLOORS

A gigantic proposal for Eglinton Ave East has been approved. A 47 floor mixed use tower, with retail, offices and residences had been approved by the city on the 22nd of May, 2018. Full office replacement is in place, something that's been difficult for the city to enforce unfortunately.

Wish this was being developed on the site next door with the ugly blue/red glass building instead. Itd be a shame to lose this early modernist building.

I agree. I used to pass by this row all the time as a kid, and will soon. Their a lovely series of building along Eglinton. That building wouldn't be the greatest to demolish because of the community centre there, but I get what you mean. Even toward Mount Pleasant...those smaller ones aren't so lovely architecturally. I love the feeling this building gives, especially to the buildings nearby.
