The scope of work here will be much less than Vancouver, as Nordstrom will only be taking the two floors. It will still look very sharp however.

Isn't Nordstrom basing its Canadian operations out of Vancouver?

As far as I know they are still deciding between Toronto and Vancouver for where to house their Canadian operations, with obvious benefits to either.

Sears will retain the upper floors as their head office, so at the very least it wont be there.

I'm curious how it's going to compete with the beloved Newfoundland Chocolate Company. On RMCC's Facebook page, it seems to be mostly Newfoundlanders who lived away that are familiar with the brand. You see lots of posts such as, "I always bring home some Rocky Mountain treats! Can't wait to bring my family in now that you're here!"
Interesting. What's the name of the nfld chocolate company it will be competing against?

I wonder how long it took them to come up with that name...

We only have the extremes here. Creative, or completely literal.

Booby Trap, good name for a lingerie store.

Model Citizens, good name for a trendy clothing store.

Hava Java, good name for a coffee shop.

"Newfoundland Chocolate Company", not so much.

And the WORST is people here "Newfound X" is a clever, acceptable business name.

Newfound Waste Disposal Ltd.

Newfound Child Care

So you find a kid on the street and ditch it there?

C'mon, people.

World's 2nd Largest Victoria's Secret Flagship to Replace Montreal Chapters Bookstore

Quote:
The world's second largest Victoria's Secret location will replace Montreal's Chapters bookstore on busy Saint Catherine Street West. The 35,000+ square foot flagship will be located directly across the street from La Senza, owned by Victoria Secret's parent company. Chapters' Montreal location is the latest to shutter for the retailer, following the recent closure of three prominent Toronto stores.

Congrats on getting Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in NewFoundland! its my all time fav place for buying gift chocolate if i'm in Great Falls or Saskatoon ..or any place for that matter in US & Canada
come to think of it, its only in North America (excluding Mexico) but has locations in Japan & S.Korea, judging from their website..

Reminds me of my all time fav place for burgers in USA, Fuddruckers World's Greatest Hamburgers®.

http://www.fuddruckers.com

They only have a few locations outside of America and only one location in Canada in Saskatoon. When I have a chance to go I always do

A big week for Champlain Place mall here in Moncton.

Victoria's Secret and Pink open tomorrow.

Also, it was announced today that Bass Pro Shops will be opening at the mall in the fall of next year. They will be replacing the Crystal Palace amusement park on the north end of the property.

With Bass Pro Shops entering the market, Moncton will be the only city in Canada, and one of only a handful of cities in all of North America with both a Bass Pro Shops and a Cabela's.

The Rideau Centre downtown mall in Ottawa just opened up its new food court today. It's got an Eaton Centre-style dishware system, with real plates & silverware served that are washed and reused.

It's got a bunch of fancy outlets too, in addition to a few of the usuals like Subway and A&W.

I haven't been down but I've heard amazing things so far.
