Long span arch bridges are very beautiful, IMO. I wish there was a way to keep the old Port Mann - I used to love driving over it when visiting Vancouver.
I love the Lupu bridge. Drove over it (well, in a cab) once. Tried to do the skywalk atop the arch...alas, it was not open when I visited.

Hamilton, Ontario - East Hamilton Waterfront Link Pedestrian Bridge

No one has posted pictures of the completed bridge so I thought I would along with some info on it. It has been complete for over a year now and it looks great.

"This 220m pedestrian/cycle bridge passes over an ecologically sensitive wetland and a major highway at the foot of the Red Hill Creek river valley, connecting Hamilton’s trail system to the Lake Ontario waterfront. It is designed to touch the valley as lightly and sensitively as possible, with timeless, natural lines and building materials mimicking the natural surroundings.

The bridge deck, a continuous curving radius, features a tilted arch as the focus at its longest span across the creek. Other features include gateways at either end and at three significant access points in the middle. Consistent signage and fine details make the scale of the bridge appropriate for pedestrians."

The original Brilliant Bridge in Castlegar BC. Built in 1913 by hand by the Doukhobours who could not read english. They could only go by the pictures! It served to link the highway from Castlegar to Nelson over the Kootenay River till 1966. This bridge has been fully restored as a pedestrian only and is now a national historic site of Canada.

This is the "new" Brilliant bridge in Castlegar. It was built in 1966 and is now part of Highway 3a over the Kootenay River from Castlegar to Nelson BC.

I've been to Hamilton more in the last year then I have in my entire life. All because of one sexy lady. I have to say Hamilton has more bridges then any place I've ever visited. It has some really nice deco bridges that I will take some pics of my next trip there.

This is the old train bridge of Castlegar. Built in 1902 it crosses the Columbia River and heads on to Nelson. This is the oldest anything in Castlegar. It has a swing span to allow paddle wheelers pass by in the old days.

While not architecturally significant, this bridge is a significant landmark in the Sydney area. It used to be the only way into or out of Whitney Pier without leaving the former city limits. It replaced "the subway", which constantly flooded, in 1965 and will soon be torn down and replaced with a level street grid for Harbourside Commercial Park. While there are several overpasses in Sydney, this one was known as "The Overpass" and passed over the Sydney Coal Railway and SYSCO lands. Pier natives knew they were home after passing the 13th expansion joint on this structure.

This is the 473 foot long Zuckerberg Island suspension bridge joining residential Castlegar to Zuckerberg Island in the Columbia River. It was built in 1984 by the 44th Field Engineering Squadron as a field exercise and won a Canadian Militia Herzberg Award:

Yep, they had to close it down for a few hours, looks like some people just got themselves free tolls for life, haha!

The Alex Fraser had a similar problem some years ago, as has the new bridge in Boston. Looks like they are going to have to use some heating wire system.

Here is a seldom showcased angle of Vancouver. The Arthur Lang Bridge (connecting Vancouver to Sea Island).

This little part of the city reminds me of a view you often see in Japan, industry, warehouses, and highway ramps.

That's cool. Is it all aluminum, or just the arch?

St. Catharines & Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario - Garden City Skyway

This is one of my favourite bridges. It isn't the best looking bridge, but that isn't what makes it so cool. What makes it so cool is it's size, location, and shape. When you are driving along the QEW and get closer to the bridge it looks so massive, and the curves of the bridge just add to that massive look. The location is cool because once you get to the top the views are amazing.

"Six lanes of traffic are carried across the bridge, which is 2.2 km (1.37 miles) in length and 40 metres (131 feet) at its tallest point. It is the tallest and largest single structure along the entire QEW; the Burlington Bay James N. Allan Skyway, which is also part of the QEW, is actually two separate and smaller four-lane bridges." - Source

Bobcaygeon, Ontario - Bobcaygeon Swing Bridge

I have a cottage near here so I've seen this one a lot. It is a cool little bridge in a beautiful little town.
