A friend of mine just returned from St-Pierre-et-Miquelon. FINALLY I can share with you the awesome graveyard and some of the cool architecture. It really is an insanely impressive town for just a few thousand residents.

And back across Baie de Plaisance to Terre Neuve.

Rainy but GORGEOUS evening in St. John's tonight...

Video Link

There were SO MANY PEOPLE walking around. I really expected you could see them. There was even a period where a car stopped to let like 5-7 people cross right in front of me... but all of it blurred. Only the one woman standing still showed up. Boo!

Great London shots Chadillac, I haven't been down in a longgg time. I'm always bitter that we lost many of our great historic buildings when other cities were more fortunate.

How does London stack up against some of the Western cities you frequent?

Thanks man. I got a sweet set of shots from KW too. Don't worry, Kitchener and Waterloo have both done very well. One thing they definitely have on London is nice narrow streets in the downtown

Well the thing about London is that there really is no analog for it in Western Canada (London is the 7th largest in the east, Regina is 7th largest in the west). Of the cities I've visited extensively (only BC and AB so far), Victoria is the closest in form and downtown life. Both have tons of charm and history, with stunning historic structures to match. Victoria just has more of a fancy reputation I think. I will say that London is extremely underrated on this forum and in real life, especially considering its lively downtown, active nightlife, and impressive skyline.

I'll be visiting both Saskatoon and Regina this fall, so I will see if either of them stack up in comparison. I've heard fantastic things about Saskatoon from friends and on here, and Regina looks lovely.

London isn't mentioned that much on here and when it is it's generally negative. Nice to see the flip side

Yeah, it's awfully hard to compare east and west, save for Victoria perhaps.

You're right that London doesn't get the credit it deserves. I've been begging for more London for years. I'd even settle for a little St Thomas. Great part of the province.

They are. St. Thomas is great for a city its size. Almost identical in size to Woodstock, but downtown it feels like twice the size. I haven't been in like 7 years though.

Moncton

Here are a few photos of Moncton all taken by me with my phone, I hope to soon do an actual photo tour of the whole city.

Last two photos are taken by a close friend.

Gage Park fountain restoration is finally complete, took years to complete. Fountain was designed by John Lyle, designed Toronto's Union Station.

The annual Celebration of Light festival took again place in Vancouver in the beginning of the month. Here are some photos of the show put on by team France, as seen from a pretty unique vantage point. Enjoy.

All ready on the barge.

Many have come to enjoy the fireworks onboard a boat.

Sunset is a sign of first fireworks being imminent.

Everything ready for the show to begin...

...and here we go!

More close by.

Smoke creeps in towards the end of the show.

Last four minutes of the fireworks. I hope you enjoyed.

And will probably take mere days before it gets tagged by jerkoffs.

Looks fantastic though. I haven't walked through the park in a long time, have to check it out soon.

Surely technology exists today that could nab vandals. People need to be held accountable financially for the damage they cause.

Beautiful picture! Miss Van. We'll be in the Shuswap in a couple weeks for a camping trip... close but so far.
