I wish Atrium City Towers were built over some canal and not just an isolated lake. What a sight it would make if it were an actual part of a regularly traveled water passage.

^^ Yes that would be great, at the mouth of the creek or something. However over there it would look really weird with all the midrises, something like the citadel from HL2.

Some aspects still look very conceptual. I guess we will have to wait and see!

I don't like any of these. IMO they look ugly or like some teenager designed them. The size is amazing but the designs aren't good, again, imo.

A birdie told me that the design plans of the EP towers show the height of the tallest of the three as ... 850 meters.

Dubai is honestly killing itself
There is no need for these gigantic skyscrapers from nowhere
And I understand "build and they come", but there has to be limits.
I really think there will be a huge economic crash in the near future.
They are spending money they have, but very soon, itll be money that they dont have...

Dubai is obviously reinventing itself from a long known small fishing village, but the scale of its development has exceeded all expectations. Makes you wonder if half of these towers can even be half occupied, especially in a rather empty desert landscape.

Some new stuff.

First of all it's pretty much confirmed that the atrium city towers are part of the development in front of the SZR towers, whether they're at the exact location marked by that site or not is another story. The advertisement on this page shows shows the AC towers with meraas development who are the guys behind that project.

Some renders of an old version maybe. Location is different too.

Huh? Those renders are gone for some reason.

They showed what was an atkins proposal for atrium city towers (a very awful one, surprised coming from them). The location was across the road from the burj dubai complex.
In that case the construction site shown in the pictures mightn't be the atrium city towers but probably one of the east park projects. I guess we'll see soon enough though (in 2 weeks)

The renders are amazing, as is the scale of development in Dubai.
