A Queen's Park style treatment with Broadway diverging in a circle around it would have been pretty cool, and very dramatic. But the way it is with the backyard opening up to the Assiniboine River is nice too.
The biggest annoyance with the Legislature is the 1950s style surface parking lot that surrounds the building. It should just be paths and such with lanes for drop-offs, emergency access and such... not parking for random staffers.
