Aww man, opening a self-serve frozen yogourt franchise was going to be my backup plan for when I graduate and can't find a job!

(of course, there still isn't one Uptown )

My partner was born and raised in SJ and lived on the west side from early 70s to mid 80s - he says that they ALWAYS referred to Lancaster Mall as the KMart Mall.....for what its worth!

Perhaps it was called the "K-Mart Mall" prior to K-Mart closing.... in 1998.

Tbh I enjoy shopping at the Woolco Mall. I hear it's packed on weekends

Saint John Construction Updates

A few photos I shot recently of the construction of the new Princess Auto, office building on the old Rothesay Rd., plus the new garage with most of the colors showing:

Back in the 60's when the old K mart was built there was no mall just a Domnion Store where No FRill is now.

Yes, I remember it well myself. Funny, I remember that when No Frills was a Dominion Store, a second Dominion was located close by on Lancaster Avenue and remained in operation for quite some time along side the other before finally closing.

^^

Second Cup looks really great and apparently they are open night time which is awesome.

On a side note, Fido is opening up in McAllister Place later on this summer.

The New Shur Fit

A new sign with the rendering for the new Shur Fit is up and it doesn't look too bad.

Also, in McAllister Place there is a sign announcing the new Fido location.
