Hey, at least there aren't any clotheslines strung across West Avenue with people's undies flapping in the wind.

Come to think of it, I'd rather thank AusTxDevelopment for the nice photos that allow us to peer into the lives of those people.
Actually the building with the seemingly cluttered balconies (I can't recall the name) is very well designed. This picture captures it an an odd angle from above The front facade on Fifth St. is especially well done, and the rear or Sixth Street side, while rather minimalist, is also not unattractive when viewed from the street. The aerial photo does not do this medium sized condo structure justice. I have always admired this building. It was the first highrise(?)built in the area.

Agreed. It was a pioneer for downtown, and the architecture is visually pleasing when viewed from the ground.

It's called Austin City Lofts and believe it or not, it was completed in 2004. Yes, that makes it the tallest high-rise completed to that point in the far West 6th area. Monarch wasn't completed until 2008 and Spring Tower wasn't completed until 2009. Austin Towers has a great profile on it and other condo buildings downtown:

I was thinking the same thing. I would think any day now. Can't wait to see how nice that corner will look with a façade attached.

I think those are just hallway lights turned on at each floor.

Nice updates tonight Mopacs. I especially like the brooding sky in these 5th & West shots.

There're just north of 14 floors (plus parking) already built. This thing is going to be pretty impressive if the floor count still has to roughly double.
