I have come to agree with the others, the Midwest describes a very specific region (i.e Ohio, Michigan, etc) and Central Canada (Toronto & Area)

I would say rename the forum 'the prairies' but we are missing a prairie province. Furthermore, Manitoba doesn't have nearly as much prairie as Saskatchwan and Alberta.

Since NW Ontario can't be included in our forum I figure it would be best just to use the province names as the name of the forum.

Plus, i'm proud to say i'm from the Mansack.

Midwestern Canada is completely retarded. It not only is not a recognized area in Canada, it doesn't make geoprahical sense. If we are talking about the typical west (BC, AB, SK, MB) then Alberta and Sask would be the "mid" west.

Seeing as the only term that makes sense (Central) is somehow taken already by Ontario, the only other name that will please most is Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Change it.

Yea that's what I was thinking, leave it vague enough for that.

But if it were to be changed maybe something a bit more creative perhaps, or catchy.

Why does it have to creative or catchy? Whay can't it just be ACCURATE!!

Look at the names of the other forums...

BC is BC
Alberta is Alberta
Sask and Manitoba are "midwestern Canada" a ficticious geographical area in the world of SSP.
Ontario is Ontario
Quebec is Quebec
Atlantic Canada is Atlantic Canada

Now tell me which one of these doesn't belong...?

Why do we have to be the freakshow?

Can't we just be called what we are called, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. We don't want names given us to people who have never been here.

Sask and MB is not good enough.. as NW Ontraio belongs on this thread as well.

No lets call it Eastern - Western Canada
or the Flatlands
or No mans land
or the gap

.. then again midwest sounds fine with me ... we are the middle, but considered western.
