I am kind of liking the multi-color patterning on the facade, but I don't find the way they did the top of the building that appealing. I think it would look better with just two straight spires even, rather than that pointed arch. I dunno.. it just isnt working for me. Great height for Panama though!

Thumbs up

For me, the project is perfect. The most interesting architecture in this complex of 3 bldgs is the different blues in mirror windows in facade, great and also the arc on top the middle one that makes a connection to be closed somehow. . The renderings are great. Do we have already diagram from them here in SSP?

Right now The Point is almost finished and raised the 274m and it is already the tallest in Latin America and Spain, but "Faros de Panama" (Panama's Lighthouse) already started the construction and will be, the tallest in the city. It will be finished at 2010, aswell as Trump Ocean by Donald Trump also in Panama City, Panama.

PTY Dude:
Have you a official source of 274m for The Point?, because our sources and database says 244m and will still unfinished until november-december of this year, have you a recent photo that shows as built or closer to the end of construction (Almost finished -as you say-)? because the linked image looks like far to finished, BTW recently posts on SkyScrapeCity Forums says it have problems with the facades contractor and the works are on hold, will be good for us if you share better info to modify our database... If you can, please.

To claim the title of the tallest only "built" counts, Torre Mayor still as the tallest of LatinAmerica until The Point will finished (as expected) on november-december, WonderlandPark is right, for spanish-spoken countries Torre Espacio is the tallest, and when The Point will finished couldn't be the tallest of Spanish-spoken countries because Repsol Tower and Torre de Cristal will be already built (As expected).

AlamDF:
Torre Bancomer or Torrena (If both build) couldn't hold the title of the Tallest because The Trump and Faros will be already built then.

No, Torre Espacio in Madrid is the tallest in any Spanish speaking country 237m verses 225m for Torre Mayor. Torre Caja Madrid will open soon at 250m.
