Yes it is quite dominant and I'm hoping in the years to come it doesn't stand out as much as it does now. Give it another two years and things will change. Personally I've never really been a fan of 432.

There’s nothing to be a fan of (432). It’s just a tall stalk/pole.

It has grown on me. I saw it in person 2 years ago and remember thinking damn NYC this is the best you could do? But I kinda like it now. Just super pleased we have 3 more towers on the way 1400 feet or greater in that area.

432 Park Avenue is a beautiful building. People could level the same charges regarding the design about the Aon Tower in Chicago, but they don’t. There’s not a city in America that wouldn’t love to have 432 Park.

There is an elegance to its simplicity. Not my favorite building, but it doesn't look bad in the skyline and will look better as the current crop of supertalls rises.

That's the still-heavily-Polish part of Nassau Ave. in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It's kinda amazing its still an ethnic enclave, given all the nearby gentrification.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are 432 Park Avenue’s newest celebrity residents
The couple reportedly dropped $15.3M on a three-bedroom, half-floor condo

By Zoe Rosenberg
Mar 28, 2018

Quote:
The entertainer and retired Yankee reportedly closed on a three-bedroom, four and a half bathroom apartment in February using an anonymous LLC. The half-floor apartment, which includes a library and his and her bathrooms, sold for $15.32 million.

The 4,000-square-foot apartment’s most stand-out feature is, of course, its spectacular views of Central Park and beyond, but the interiors measure up with a corner living room, a breakfast bar overlooking the park, and corner master bedroom with a separate dressing area.

Was just noticing how many of the homes in 432 Park Ave are dark, which makes me question how many are actually occupied versus how many are just places for the uber-rich to park overseas $$$.

The vertical stripes of the Aon Tower do a lot for it. Also, it does not have the same ratio of height to width. The little details matter man. With a few tweaks something like this could have been good and not the blah boring tower we got.

I've recently heard it referred to as "di gelt shtekn", which is Yiddish for "the money stick".
