No wonder Canada is such a mess. The cognitive dissonance of this type of "opinion" is frightening.
Yes demagogues have done such great things historically.

Politicians use populism as a springboard to power. They throw the occasional treat to the people to stay on their good side just enough to not lose power for a while but for the most part, the policies their implement are not what is actual popular. "Prime Minister Dressup" was elected on quite a populist platform, which is to say it was stuff that Canadians wanted. He has failed to deliver on more than half of that platform at this point.

Ford will be the same. Just as Trudeau is similar to Harper, Ford will be similar to Trudeau. They're all the same.

This is unfortunately the latest Cascadia proposal in Edmonton:

The Cascadia proposal is so ugly no words from me will convey my thoughts on it, so I'm just going to leave this picture here for all to see:

That could honestly look excellent with some minor adjustments and if built using high-quality materials. Given the way you speak of Procura, I'm guessing it won't.

I can't even wrap my head around the Edmonton proposal. Seriously, I don't even know what type of building it is...

Nothing wrong with this building in Oakville. I just don't like the sign. I think it's too grandiose. There's something classy about subtlety. This is a classy enough building with some of that class being drawn back by this classless sign. Very similar to THE KEG sign on the side of a hotel in Niagara. Though Niagara is supposed to be somewhat gaudy.

Reminds me of Chicago. When I was on the bus tour, the guide mentioned how people hate this sign. I have to agree. I like the building, but it is being tarnished by the sign. But it's to be expected when the building is named after a classless buffoon.

Pickup trucks are more utility than class and style. Well utility and fulfillment of ego. So this doesn't look out of place on a truck. But big signs on a condo?

You know what else has colour and verve? Chuck E. Cheese. That is seriously the ugliest building I have seen since the Venetian.

Another lyin' Fat Fuck Ford.

“It’s turned into an absolute nightmare in that community. The real estate has dropped $150,000 overnight. This is a middle class neighbourhood, people have worked their whole lives … It’s not about kids with autism, because my heart goes out to families with autism … It’s about kids that have violent behaviour.”

Ford later told the father of a child with autism to “go to hell” and complained he was somehow the victim of a “full out jihad.”

Or Chet or Jed, or Rod. I'm picturing the oblivious ham-and-egger with the doofy grin wearing the MOGA hat, posted on a previous page. Billboard material. DoFo's Oaftario.

Guys, we should focus on the more positive aspects of Doug Ford, like his philanthropy:
