Wow, Austin is looking great! Keep this up and you may have the second best skyline in Texas before too long...

Good pics. Crazy development there. A lot of the new high-rises are stylistically similar and pretty bland IMO, but I assume many of them are residential, which is great.

The South Texas/Hill Country region (including Austin and SA) is one of my favorite places in the country. These pics make me want to visit soon.

I was wondering the same thing. I never bothered to look it up either. I did notice the lot was cleared on Google Earth. That's Westlake Drive down there. Most of the permits I could find for Westlake Drive were for boat docks.

This is the site plan for it - it says it's a boat dock for a residence.

Google Streetview captured the construction site. Also, if you look on Google Earth, it seems to show what appears to be what was the foundation for something that was previously there. I can't imagine that lot had been vacant. I'm thinking someone with serious money came in, tore down the house, and are starting from scratch.

The owners of that plane actually crashed landed it in Lake Travis 2 years ago. They were ok, and they had a salvage team lift it out of the lake, and they've since restored it. I would see them flying that plane around downtown whenever the weather was nice. Someone actually caught the crash on video.
