Jumped about 15 cents overnight in most places in Quebec. New prices are $1.25 yesterday in Lévis, $1.20 today in Sherbrooke. (Are we typically cheaper than Northern Ontario? I wouldn't have thought so, but maybe.)

I had several of those red 20-liter containers that were full of gas obtained from NH at about 60 U.S. cents a liter during trips this summer to my land (you can bring back 20 liters without any taxes each trip, so I always do), and I still have at least one full container at the moment, so I'll be able to avoid paying post-Harvey prices for a while still. I'm guessing prices have also shot up by +15% where I usually fill up, but that will be still cheaper than in the Townships.

(And yes, it's all pocket change and doesn't really matter on my overall finances but it's easy to do, so I do it.)

It went from $1.109 to $1.299 in about 10 hours. I filled up before it increased and I've weathered these before. I drive so infrequently that the prices will probably be back down before I fill up again. The most I've ever paid for gas was $1.349 the day I got my truck, and ever since then prices have dropped and stayed dropped. The most I've paid since was $1.299 and the least was $0.823 (I had a coupon and it came to about 0.755 when you factor in PC Points).

Prices range from 105.7 to 109.9 on the reserve and 119.9 to 135.9 in the city. That's a range of $3.19 to $4.10 USD per USGal. It's $2.689 USD/USGal or $0.881 CAD/L in Grand Marais, Minnesota, but that's a 250km round trip and my truck has a range of 450km/tank. I don't think I've ever driven that far in a week before. The gas alone would cost $35 to get there and back and is twice the amount I'm allowed to bring back so if I left now, I'd come back with less gas than when I'd started and for what? We aren't close enough to the border for this to factor into too many things.

And most people that I know that use reserve gas claim to get worse fuel economy when they do which would cancel out the savings. I've never confirmed this though.

It would certainly make no sense at all for you to do that trip just to fill up on gas. I'm only 40 km from the border, and even then it wouldn't make that much sense to do the trip just for that; I have stuff to take care of over the border so filling up is just a side quest (also, I use my debit card in US funds so I don't suffer the arbitrary exchange rate penalty of using a Canadian credit card).

They hadn't yet moved down, last I checked (this afternoon).

I still haven't had to get gas at post-Harvey prices, but given that I just had to do Lévis-Sherbrooke yet again in three days, my gasoline reserves are nearly empty now.

But if I fill-up at SuperStore (Loblaws) I get a 5 cent/litre rebate in PC points

Odd, it's 7 cents per litre here in Calgary and the price of gas is around 108.9

A few more stations have dropped below $1.199 including a Shell station (they're usually the first to increase and the last to drop). A few of the stations that were at $1.359 are down to $1.309 which is where most stations are at the moment. $1.189 at Superstore/Mobil, this market offers 7 cents in points back if you use a PC Mastercard but only 3.5 cents in points if you use a basic PC Points card.

Cheapest gas in Ontario is in Thunder Bay, 105.7 at one of the reserve stations.

Gas never budged too much in Moncton. It was $1.09 at the pumps on the way into the hospital this evening.

you get .7 cents if you pay with a pc bank or mastercard, any other format of payment you get 3.5 cents, but that will change soon with PC Bank quitting

Yes but GHYHZ stated that they were getting 5 cents a lite - how does that figure?
