Extell Secures $530 Million In Financing For Brooklyn Point, Downtown Brooklyn

Quote:
Extell Development Company has announced the successful acquisition of $530 million in financing for Brooklyn Point, its first development in the borough. When complete, the 720-foot-tall structure will become the tallest residential tower in Brooklyn, surpassing The Hub, located just to its south.

Brooklyn Point is located at 138 Willoughby Street, and is the third high-rise component of City Point, a sprawling 1.8 million square foot development comprised of condominiums, apartments, office space, and over 600,000 square feet of retail area.

Designed by architects Kohn Pedersen Fox with SLCE as architect of record, residences include a selection of studio to three bedroom condominiums. Katherine Newman Design will oversee the look and feel of building interiors.

Today, construction has reached the 26th floor, and will eventually top-out 68 stories above street level. Full completion and delivery is expected by 2020. As City Point’s only for-sale properties, residences will be priced from $850,000 to about $4 million.

This tower is nice but that lobby is way too busy.

Brooklyn Point Hits Halfway Mark On Way To 720-Foot Pinnacle In Downtown Brooklyn

Quote:
Inside, there will be 686,800 square feet of residential space divided among 458 units.

The building has a trapezoidal footprint that rises from a four-story podium bound by Flatbush Avenue, Willoughby Street and Albee Square. With a uniform massing and a staggered facade of large windows, the top of the tower will be capped with a sloped roof, making for a distinctive silhouette shape.

40,000 square feet of amenities will include 24/7 concierge service, bicycle storage, refrigerated storage and package room, a screening room, a wine cellar, a game room and children’s playroom, a putting green, barbecue grills with fire pits, a pilates and cycling studio, a cardio and weight training room, a yoga studio, a rock climbing room, a spa, and of course, the 65-foot-long saltwater infinity pool on the rooftop sun deck, with views looking north up Flatbush Avenue towards the Midtown skyline and the East River. A private dining room will also be located on the upper floors of the building.

Brooklyn Point will likely top-out by mid 2019, and be completely finished sometime in 2020.
