Passau - At the confluence of three rivers

Located in the southeastern corner of Germany, with Austria to the east and south and the Czech Republic to the north.

Looks terrific; really nice shots. I have an aunt in Passau.

I think few people know about Passau, because it's kinda isolated for tourists. It's a long drive from German population centers. It's really more convenient to Czech Rep. and Austria (and looks more like those countries).

True. It is more or less in the middle of nowhere. Made for a comfortable drive though compared to the congested roads where I live (Rhine-Ruhr area).

The town is known for the 1990 German film Nasty Girl, which follows Sonja (Lena Stolze), "...a small-town teen, as she enters an essay contest and ends up researching her city's involvement with the Third Reich. While the town has a reputation for resisting Nazi influence, Sonja discovers that many locals collaborated with the Gestapo and had deep roots within the Third Reich. Eventually, Sonja's investigation leads some citizens to try to block her efforts to uncover the truth." --From Google summary.

This shot really showcases the massive scale of all that baroque ornamentation!
