Portman Holdings received over $224 million in construction financing for its 25-story speculative office tower at Spring Street in Georgia Tech's Technology Square innovation district. It's half a mile away from its successful Coda building, now home to global tech conglomerate Cisco Systems Inc., among other companies. Portman expects to get the space up and running by the end of summer 2024. Construction is planned to start in the last half of this year.
Dubbed “Spring Quarter” at 1020 Spring Street, the new tower will encompass 4.1 acres, or nearly a full city block in Midtown. Portman has begun construction on the apartment component of the project, which includes 370 units and can start moving in residents by next summer, said Portman’s Managing Director Travis Garland.
