HEADS UP - for anyone viewing this at work, everyone is clothed and there's nothing you wouldn't see at any beach, but just so you know ahead of time. Enjoy
Soundtrack for Part 2 - take your pick, I watched Berlin perform both at their show during Market Days:

And alright, so I got a little misty-eyed when they performed this - I totally missed out when this song first came out; kudos to my partner for putting up with my sappiness:

When we last left off - we were checking out some of the sights near the Chicago River. The Carbide and Carbon Building - now the Hard Rock Cafe Hotel:
The Mather Building:
Chicago River twinkling in the morning sun:
Chicago icons:
One of the more high-profile victims of the recession, Waterview Tower - planned to be a 1,000+ ft. mixed-use tower, now just the parking garage base
Okay one more shot of Marina City and the IBM Building:
A little more time was spent admiring the Jewelers Building - one of my favorites along the river:
Aqua, one of the newest residential towers - making waves with its balconies
The cupola of the Crains building:
Art deco elements on another Michigan Avenue highrise:
But it's time to go for a walk, further up Michigan Avenue, the Sofitel peeks out from behind a neighboring tower:
And finally we make it to the Oak Street beach and pedway/bikeway.
Okay back from the beach, here's some sportscar zipping through the 'hood:
Some *gorgeous* architecture just west of the beach:
But time for lunch (and people watching!):
But time to head back to Halsted and Market Days!
I suppose I can see why people thought the bartenders at Minibar were attractive
But as Positive K said - "I Got A Man!" so we headed out to the street:
Back to the Addison stage where Berlin was performing:
There's Terri Nunn - still rockin' it and looking great!
She got on one of her roadies shoulders who then carried her through the crowd! Rock the f#ck ON!!!
As we headed out, there was more entertainment to be had!
And of course, drinks and revelry - so I'll just leave you with a hint of what's in the next section
