What color are the black one's eyes? He looks like an American Bombay.

This is our son, his name is Wee-wee. We got him as a kitten in November 1999 from a family friend. He's now 13, still has tons of energy, but he's definitely getting slower with age.

He was named after our first cat, a gray tabby named Wee-wee that we picked up in 1991 as a kitten from a small pet store in San Diego. He passed away at the age of 8 from a urinary tract infection; I still miss him to this day.

Her eyes are yellow but she had blue eyes when she was born:

(Photo taken by her foster parent who took some amazing shots of the litter and rescue mom)

Harriet also has stripes, barely visible except in bright light:

I got a new friend. This is an adult female cat I got from my local humane society to be friends with my current adult male who seemed lonely and understimulated.

No name for her yet. What should I call her???

So far Hodge does not approve. They do not like each other very much yet but I think their similar personalities and energy levels should mesh.

Hodge is just jealous... Hopefully they end up getting along sooner rather than later!

Haha, I love that 'jealousy' photo! Hodge still has the best face ever on a cat.

I agree, Ayreonaut. Not only does Hodge have the best face ever on a cat, he's also very friendly, too. Whenever I've been over at HIS house (let's face it, he just allows Austin to live there and take care of him!), he loves to sit in my lap and get petted. Sweet boy, no doubt about it.

TaZ and FeLiX

the 2 solitudes, hanging out and ignoring each other by LUMIN8, on Flickr

FeLiX pounced on the mouse to click print for Skyfall at the IMAX tickets and then wanted to pounce on the printer as it made weird noises coming to life. Like James Bond, it is pretty much a cat and mouse game for FeLiX.

Looks like Simba's mouth has some inflammation (stomatitis?)

Very cute cat!

I saw this on Facebook and I loved it:

Buddhist Humor
More cat Haiku:

Seeking solitude
I am locked in the closet
For once I need you.

The food in my bowl
Is old, and more to the point
Contains no tuna.

My brain: Walnut-sized.
Yours: Largest among primates.
Yet, who leaves for work?

Most problems can be
Ignored. The more difficult
Ones can be slept through.

Your mouth is moving;
Up and down, emitting noise
I've lost interest.

So you want to play.
Will I claw at dancing string?
Your ankle is closer.

The dog wags his tail,
Seeking approval. See mine?
Different message.

Am I in your way?
You seem to have it backwards:
This pillow's taken.

My affection is conditional.
Don't stand up,
It's your lap I love.

Cats can't steal the breath
Of children. But if my tail's
Pulled again, I'll learn.

So you call this thing
Your "cat carrier." I call
These my "blades of death."

Tiny can, dumped in
Plastic bowl. Presentation,
One star; service: none.

I have a question for cat owners.

Here's the deal. Whenever one of my cats is lounging around and I bring a treat, he (or she) will look to the left as I approach, and then will look at the dish in my hand. They never look to the right. Always to the left.

Anyone else noticed this? I know it's not my imagination.

That's typical of one of my cats, except that she always gets her butt right in my face and I have to shift positions. No way she will move.
