Great pics everyone! That glass is looking great! From north Philly airport I can see the glasses impact on the upper levels and how much mass the building shows. Only a few more days til the roof pour and start of the exciting part!

Beautiful, isn't it? It's well over halfway to the top of the hotel portion... we're coming so close to getting our first supertall. Younger me would have loved that.

Are they going to enclose those cooling towers sitting at the base of the hotel portion? They are quite noticeable and ugly at that location.

Those will be lifted to the top roof within a few weeks and will be installed in the cooling tower section.

this tower is turning out awesome. i think the roof height is to allow comcast center to take the spotlight looking west, with ctc taking the spotlight looking east. also i don't think foster wanted ctc to creep above the roof of comcast center looking west, because it might look weird. i think i may have mentioned something like this before but whatever. ctc is looking rad. hooray

I’m not too concerned about the roof height to be honest. CTC has the higher occupied floor when compared to CC. In any case, the cooling tower and spire are structurally no different that the crown on CC or the crown of Sales force for that matter so it’s really only an argument of the cooling tower/spire structure not spanning the entire width of the roof.

same view. Even if you removed the 126 foot lantern the cooling tower is still higher than the Comcast Center. Does it span the entire diameter of the building, no, but it's substantial nonetheless - at least in comparison to 'spires' that often look like an antenna rather than a substantive part of the structure (like a cooling tower usually does). The lantern is just icing on the cake, & it too at least from the renderings appears to be much more substantial in girth than the average spire.

Just standing at street level looking up at this thing is awesome, the colors of the glass are beautiful. When that lantern finally shoots up something like 150 feet higher than Comcast it's gonna kick some ass

The Spire Height of CTC is structural height because it goes down to street level and is actually the spine of the building, rather than being an afterthought. So no worries about structural height, it's definitely 1121 ft.

yeah, the spire/cooling tower is practically a 1,121 foot tower itself, the angles in which it will be fully visible are gonna be amazing

If you look at the top row of glass in the middle you will see the surveyor calculating how much the building is leaning.

From today:

They're installing 2-story tall pieces on the southwest edge right now.

Looks like they're installing them on the exterior elevator shaft(s).

Fantastic photos, by the way! But yours always are.

You're right, I hadn't really thought of that until now. It will be great to see, but I'm a little sad that another chunk of One Liberty Place is going to be blocked.
