I changed this from T/O to complete now that all fencing is down and front desk security resides in the building. I suspect tenant move-in to be delayed due to COVID.

This project is going to have the best street level interface of any building in downtown Austin. The building lobby is spectacular with the amazing chandelier and the wall of glass which shows off the adjacent beautifully preserved former federal building or post office. The addition of the huge windows at the rear of the historic structure allows light to flood into the interior and provides exciting views of the surrounding buildings from the floor of what I think is going to be a food hall. I am really eager to experience this place when it is finished. I sure hope office workers return to the area in large numbers and help make a success of the food court.

So, according to the AAS, the Indeed Tower was sold last week for $580 Million to a California-based company.
In a surprise move, they allowed the Teacher Retirement System to back out of their controversial lease.

If anyone has a good pic of this, it looks like our Wikipedia page is missing one! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...r_construction

The wikipedia page is missing photos of

- Indeed Tower
- 300 Colorado
- Austin Proper
- The Quincy
- 405 Colorado
- UT System Headquarters
- Skyhouse
- The Castillian
- Shoal Creek Walk

There's dozens of suitable photos on this forum, if anyone feels like uploading theirs to the Wikimedia Commons, please do so! It would much improve some of Austin's articles.

I keep telling people and they just shrug their shoulders like no big deal. But I can't wait!

I giant "d" is about to be affixed to the west side of the building. It must be Indeed signage.

Well, maybe they aren't affixing it quite yet, but they are staging the letters to do so at least.

You can see all of the letters lined up against the wall inside the parking garage entrance on 7th St. They are ginormous...as we will soon see.

They have installed the logo on the lower part under the crown. You can kind of see it here.
Edit: Apparently they are just staging the letters here.

The letters are now actually going on the west side. They installed some sort of bracketing system over the last week+ to hold them.

I like it, but unless they put the same signage on the east side, very few people are going to see it.

Are they going to leave that machine gun turret of a window washing mechanism visible all the time? Seems like it is always out.

I am not a fan of signage on the top of buildings. It nearly always detracts from the architecture, and defiantly makes the skyline look like one big advertisement. Many cities ban Signage...I hoped Austin had had the fore thought to do the same.

I think it depends on the building. If the Sears/Willis tower, Chrysler Building, or a number of others had signage, I'd end up hating it.

On the other hand, for buildings like 4 Times Square (formerly the Condé Nast Building), Marriott Essex House, or the Metlife Building, the signage is a serious benefit, and I think they'd look weird (or at least, more boring) without it.
