Thanks for sharing, hkskyline!

Shanghai is a terrific metropolis. I like a lot Pudong area and its skyscrapers. I´d like to return there. It has been 13 years from my visit...

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

wow, for a city with so many large expensive projects, the city has a long ways to go to in the sanitation department...

Definitely two sides to Shanghai. I find it refreshing to see the other side of it.

Nice photo tour!

Cite Bourgogne was built in 1930 and consists of 78 lane residence buildings. The number of entrances have been restricted by placing these metal gates although visitors can freely enter and explore.

Amazing photos, thanks. Haven't been to China or Shanghai since the mid 2000s. Frankly I am more shocked by what hasnt changed. I figured they would have bulldozed everything and had the whole city looking like Pudong by now the way they were going. It is unfortunate to see that even some of the more recent construction (stuff I would have seen going up) has already aged rather badly.

Yes, they can build something nice quickly but maintenance is still an issue throughout China.

Let's go shopping for a piece of nostalgia in Tianzifang and grab a bite on Nanjing Road!
