Not Sure Where To Post This...Austin or San Antonio

This was from the on line Austin American Statesman. Interesting photo:

it's from:
A view of Austin, San Antonio from space
By American-Statesman staff
Astronaut Karen Nyberg, who is currently floating above Earth on the International Space Station, today posted a photograph on Twitter of Austin and San Antonio from a few hundred miles in the air.It is unclear what time the photo was taken, but it clearly shows the lights of the two cities and the towns surrounding them.Nyberg, whose hometown is in Minnesota, completed her graduate research at the University of Texas, according to NASA. She has been on the International Space Station since May, NASA said.According to spotthestation.nasa.gov, the ISS could be visible from Austin several times this week.

San Antonio makes a nice circle due to their superior freeway system with loops. Austin is turning into an octopus.

It will be interesting to see the how the I35 section between the cities grows in 10 years.

I would like to see a view north to Georgetown. An airline pilot told me the lights of Round Rock were pretty impressive also.

I'm pretty sure that does include Georgetown, it's just a continuous blob through round rock into Georgetown. I think that blob at the very top left is Killeen.

That picture definitely includes Round Rock and Georgetown. That's Fort Hood and Killeen in the upper left.

It's also a lot more sprawly.

Central Austin is very dense for a Texan city and getting denser every year. The hills to the west have contributed to the fact of why we don't have a loop system

You can easily see where the hill country starts because of the lack of development.

Great photo! What's interesting is that most of the west side of Austin (in the dark) is quite packed with suburban neighborhoods without street lights.

I was thinking the same thing. I think that is Killeen also.
