I personally don't think that a color scheme should go with the AON logo. I wouldn't doubt that their lease might be up some time in the not-too-distant future and the building will be called something else yet again, with yet another logo on top (or not).

What I really like about the Aon Logo is that it really matches the gangster building. Aon sounds like a cool name. Unlike Chicago's Aon Tower, the name matches nothing like the building (except at night)
I have a black shoe with white bottom, blue lines, and a green nike sign with green shoelaces.
It looks very cool. Should the next Aon Logo be green?

Red lights up the corners would look hella cool..Perhaps change them up on holidays like other buildings do with their illumination.

I like black cuts and all high rise sky scraper buildings.

Was in Downtown LA and got a couple shots of the building on a very dead Sunday afternoon. Funny story, we were walking around Downtown and I saw the front of the building and asked out loud, what building is this? It looks really cool. Then looked up and felt pretty embarrassed. I never knew they redid the bottom.

I've always loved this building! I have also always found it's background and history quite facinating as well. I have always wondered what it looks like inside in addition to when it caught fire in 1988. I know there is a tacky made-for-TV movie called "Fire! Trapped on the 37th floor" that was made in 1991 that I haven't seen in years. If anybody comes across it online please let us know! Also, the renovated lobbies look great!

AON Center

707 Wilshire has been my favorite tower in LA for a long time.

Here's a few of the shots I've taken over the years, with various cameras.

These first two are my favorites:

I like how the sheer mass of the broad side of the building looks in this one:

This one's from the upper floors of Library Tower (Thanks, Stuart M. Ketchum Downtown Los Angeles YMCA Tower Run-Up Vertical Marathon Fundraiser Event Thing! ):

Verticality!

This is one great building. I love the pictures of it under construction. Really shows you how much our skyline has grown over the past forty years- for better or for worse.

1988 Fire

I worked at Dodger Stadium from 1984 to 1991 and was at the stadium when the fire broke out so I went downtown after the game and snapped some pics with my old Pentax 35mm print camera, many are to blurry to scan and post but I have these two.... one is the night of the fire and the other is the next day which is the better picture. Those were good years for construction downtown and saw them build many of the towers seen today like the Library Tower, Gas Company Tower, Home Savings Building, 777 Bldg and others.

Boy, that was a mess. I wonder if there are any pix of the post-fire restoration floating around?

I remember at the time the fire was raging there was concern that the metal support beams would melt causing a critical collapse of the tower. The officials were even trying to calculate which direction the tower would fall.
