I'm always glad to see the crane permit filed because that does seem to be the best indicator (outside of an official ground breaking) that a project is a go. I don't recall any project that failed after the crane permit was filed. The Fairmont seemed close at one point because the crane permit was filed when the project was still on shaky ground.

I'm in charge of crane news today. The crane for this one goes up the first weekend in November. I wonder if it will be taller than that huge pit they dug.

11/4, still some prep going on but they're transitioning over to construction mode.
