Light at end of the tunnel may be the weather beacon @Capital_Pointe. Signed easement agreements sent back to City. One last deal to do.

Great merciful shit. What a roller coaster. The slowest moving roller coaster with the highest hills and lowest drops.... ever.

Oh, yay! ... His Twitter feed says Crates Landing has finally commenced:

"Construction underway at Crate's Landing! Soil removal nearly done now, replacement should start this week!"

I guess they're not going to be starting with a big hole in the ground!

Well, here's being hopeful, still! ...

Just checking out some soil conditions @Capital_Pointe site this morning, so more serious work can get started.

Final element for permit @Capital_Pointe submitted to City of Regina today. Re-design of shoring for north wall required. Last hurdle!

It will be interesting to see if we actually see some movement. If the Capital Pointe Social Media person still lurks here, can you provide any info?

I would think that the permit would have to go through a bit of a process before the project gets back to council to vote on, no?

Council has done their approvals. A building permit is an administrative decision. If they can meet the building code, they will get their permit, no discretion or Council involvement.

So although everything lapsed/expired, it's just permitting that had to be re-done then?

The development permit lapsed, that needs council approval, and was renewed last year if memory serves. Building permits do not require council approval.

Do you think they had to wait for a permit for that?
