They are doing the brownfield cleanup first. So it'll be awhile before we see any building structures.

Oh, wait a second, is Coppley moving or expanding?

If Coppley's moving out of that fabulous building up the street, that would present some very exciting possibilities...

The Spec has yet another version though:

Land for new Coppley building approved for brownfield remediation grant
The Hamilton Spectator -- Jul 11, 2018

So which is it? It was never going to be a spectacular building, given the needs of the client, but there's some flair in two of these renders.

Per the article linked above, they are expanding their use of that MacNab/Cannon site, moving out of the old building on York and another on Hughson. Possibilities could be exciting for that 1856 building indeed.

The Spec's July 10 story notes what's going on too (and it included the render davidcappi posted)

^Thanks for that. Here's an excerpt from the article above on the York building:

Of particular interest, from a heritage point of view, is the building at York that was built in 1856. Various efforts have been made over the years to have it designated heritage but the owner — the Enkin Family — has successfully resisted.

Asked what he plans to do with the building after Coppley vacates in mid 2020, Larry Enkin said yesterday, "It's really too early for me to be thinking about that. And besides, there are other people involved who will have to make the decisions.

"We're patient. We're not going to rush anything. When the building becomes clear, we'll consider options," said Enkin, who lives in Toronto.

I like the dark brick look in that second render.
