Could there be a case made for architectural preservation? That center window is right smack dab in the middle.

I'm hoping for a re-design. I didn't particularly care for the prelim version unveiled last year.

I came across this and hope this is closer to what the final version will look like:

Most residential buildings are concrete, so it should be expected

Thanks! I don't know much about construction methods but I was googling things a bit and reading about the pros and cons of concrete versus steel versus mixed.

Here in LA you still see some wooden apartments being built--or maybe concrete on the bottom and wood on the upper floors (because it's shorter stuff--5, 6, or 7 stories).

Heh, was trying to be funny and embed "Wrecking Ball" but looks like it didn't work.

As of now the building is rubble and they'll probably have the site cleared by tomorrow.
