Whistler and Vancouver

Five days in a row of skiing Whistler Blackcomb, a healthy amount of beer, a day trip to Vancouver, and catching a cold make for an exhausting vacation...but was it ever worth it. Here are some pics.

The skiing here is more challenging than anywhere I've skied before. Blues are often steeper than I'm used to. Blacks are usually full of ice, giant moguls, and even rocks. Double black=cliff. I didn't push myself like I usually do.

One of my friends has a GoPro camera and we each had it on for most of our time skiing. Sure enough, whoever was wearing the cam seemed to mess up the most. I made a video of highlights...

Looks like you had a good time in Whistler, and you certainly did well for yourself being in Vancouver for just the one day. Come back in the summer and bring more friends.

Thanks for the Whislter tour, I liked the video's. I've lived in Vancouver for a while, but yet to ski Whistler, nice to see a little bit of what I've been missing.

Looks awesome! British Columbia always seems like a little slice of heaven in Canada. Us Americans can't help but be jealous sometimes.
Tree to the crotch=ouch!

I pretty much walked all day. I didn't see anything in depth - just gave myself the tip of the iceberg tour.

Whistler may not have the powder that the mountains in the interior are known for but it has everything else - cruisers, bumps, glaciers, steeps, glades, above the treeline bowls, and it's absolutely massive.
