Developer plans 28-story tower on a current surface lot on the Southbank adjacent to the Kings Ave Skyway station. Also mentioned in the article is a proposed gondola spanning the St. Johns River from the Southbank to the Northbank. The proposal does have a bit of an uphill climb with the developer and Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) having been in litigation a few years back over developmental rights to the property.
