FMC looking great. There is supposed to be an indoor/outdoor restaurant on the 28th floor. Does anyone know if that is to be public? I assume. Or is it just for tenants/AKA guests? I know the ground floor restaurant will be public.

That's an amazing pic. Seeing all that railyard makes me glad that there's proposals like the 30th Street District and Schuylkill Yards making University City more like Center City. FMC is kind of leading the pack in that regard.

I noticed a small part of the Cira Green Parking garage lights up to adjacent to the FMC building.

The elevator shaft that accesses the entrance to FMC is what you're seeing.

Nice pic VZ.

I'm still having difficulty determining whether or not I like the seemingly haphazard lighting scheme of FMC Tower? Perhaps it's not finished yet? In person, anyways, it appears almost like a mistake - it leaves the impression that some of the lights aren't turned on, or there are quite a few dead bulbs.

I like it. The lights on the North and South sides of the tower move from left to right on most nights. It's pretty cool to see in person.

Thanks, man! That's what I thought but your confirmation solidifies it for me.

There's an elevator shaft that reaches the entrance? When I walked by the site last (which was back in October, so that may have something to do with it), the entrances to the building were level with Walnut Street. Then I vaguely remember this sort of plaza between this building and the parking garage, which is next to the Evo.

The amount of LEDs per square foot suggest to me that they will be able to display characters or be more imaginative in their light display on the elevator shaft.

No to take away from such a great project, but why they would spend money on LEDs on such a small part of the garage and not put even a cloth cover over the rest of it is beyond me.

I don't know the costs for one versus the other, but assuming the LEDs and a cover for the garage are similar I feel like it's a no brainer which one would take priority.

^ I think that the LED section of the garage is actually new construction, added to the garage after the fact.

Pretty sure most other cities like houston have more lighting than philly. Pittsburgh probably has more lighting.
