Lol the lights are awesome. Love viewing UCity from Temple. Much better than the pathetic Liberty Place lighting that u can't see from two miles out.

really wish the horizontal green extended up to the right of the FMC logo. It looks like lights are burned out or something.

I think the lot at 8th and Market is a good place for that.

Anyway:

I was looking at the CTC webcam and saw the lights on the FMC Tower and the Cira Center, are they coordinated or is there some other reason they're both candy striped tonight

It's actually red, white, and blue moving across both towers, presumably for MLK day. You can see it better here:

http://www.listingcam.com/webcam/philly-skyline-webcam/

In fact, watching it again, it looks like it might be some kind of abstract depiction of the American flag. They did the same thing on, I believe, Veterans' Day and/or Thanksgiving.

that is really cool. The more I look at FMC the more I like it particularly from northbound 95 as you approach the city, it has an awesome presence & spreads the skyline out. The light show is a bonus. Is the Cira Center always lit up as well (or is that a reflection?)

Yes, Cira Center is always lit up, and recently seems to be always coordinated with FMC (at least in terms of colors).

The big red FMC logo is not my favorite touch... distracts from the smooth form and lessens the effect of the sheer height.

I feel like you're in the minority on this one.

Really? People like that? I understand why FMC wants the logo there and think it is a fair price to pay for the building, but I didn't think anyone actually liked giant corporate logos on buildings.
